About Amy

Amy Foat Smith is the winner of HR Consultant of the Year in the CIPD Wales awards 2024.

Amy Foat Smith is a Fellow of the CIPD with over 15 years experience within HR. Achieving her CIPD Level 3, Level 5, Post Graduate Degree and Masters in Human Resource Management.

Amy is also qualified as a Prince2 practitioner, Psychometric assessor and Mental Health First Aider.

Amy started her career within a HR services provider specialising in finding talent and HR consultancy. She then worked for 8 years within contact centres, leading the HR teams, processes and initiatives which supported sites of over 1500 FTE. Before joining to lead SME Business Partners – HR Division she worked as a People Director for a Welsh SME.

Amy’s approach engages employees and employers alike to ensure rigour around compliance, processes to increase performance and commitments to culture change.

Amy is a natural coach, passionate about all areas of wellbeing. Successfully supporting business leads whilst ensuring accountability and commitment for change.
